Matthieu Muteba has been in contact with music from an early age, as he was born into a family of singers. Choir director since 2009, he is currently evolving within the choir "Les Messagers de Fatima"; a French-speaking choir that he joined in 2006, when he was a student. Relentless autodidact, Matthieu has immersed himself in reading books on both music theory and principles of choral directing as well as the basics of tonal harmony. He was supported by the guidance of his elders and art schoolteachers in order to perfect his knowledge. To date, Matthieu coordinates the technical direction of his choir whose musical journey is marked by some of his compositions and musical orchestration including that of the famous canticle of Moses performed at the second edition of the charity concert organized by the Élan de Chœur organization in May 2019. Lover of classical music, the conductor Matthieu admires the genius of the famous Johann Sebastian Bach whom he considers as the joy of God of the baroque era spread through the ages. My life principle: "The key to living your dream is hard work".
